What is Cross-border classroomThe «Cross-border classroom» project is initiated to promote the quality and competitiveness of rural education by creating, testing and introducing the innovative models of operation. The cross-border pedagogical cooperation, in-service training programmes, introduction of new information and communication in education technologies are expected to contribute to quality and equality of educational opportunity for the students living in the remote areas of Karelia and Finland . Our aimThe general aim is to increase the quality and competiveness of education by networking the remote schools situated in the close neighbourhood in Finland and Karelia, and by helping them to run several development projects strengthening the cross-border pedagogical cooperation. Who are involvedCBC project is coordinated by the University of Oulu , Learning and Reserch Services. In Russian side project is coordinated by Karelian State Pedagogical University and the other partner is Public educational establishment «Institute of Teacher Training».
