Ranskalainen visiitti
toukokuun ensimmäisellä viikolla Oulussa vieraili 36 opiskelijaa ja 2 professoria Grenoble Ecole de Managementista (GEM). He tutustuivat teknologian kehittämisen näkökulmasta Oululaiseen arvoketjuverkostoon, joka koostuu Oulun alueen oppi- ja tutkimuslaitosten, yritysten ja julkisen sektorin yhteistyöstä. Ohjelma sisälsi luentoja, työpajoja, vierailuita ja keskusteluita.
Vierailun kohteina olivat Oulun yliopisto (Martti Ahtisaari instituutti, kauppakorkeakoulu, Oulu Mining School, tuotantotalous, sähkö- ja tietotekniikka, lääketiede), Oulun ammattikorkeakoulu (OAMK Labs) ja Pohto. Heille esiteltiin Team Finlandin, Tekesin, Finpron, Hillan ja CWC:n toimintaa, Tellus areenaa ja Business Kitcheniä. Yrityksistä esillä olivat SPECIM ja TactoTek.
Vieraat olivat kovin vaikuttuneita Oululaisesta osaamisesta, eri toimijoiden yhteistyöstä ja saavutuksista. Vaikutuksen vieraisiin teki myös jäätynyt meri, joka sopi hyvin lauseeseen ”Science with arctic attitude”.
Koulutuksen järjesti Oulun yliopiston täydentävien opintojen keskus TOPIK yhteistyössä Grenoble Ecole de Managementin kanssa.

The Oulu University Extension School TOPIK organized a study visit to Oulu for 36 students and 2 professors from the Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) during the first week of May.
The program comprised visits to the following institutions, clusters and companies: University of Oulu, Oulu University of Applied Sciences, Pohto Development Center, Hilla (High-tech ICT Leverage from Long-term Assetization), Team Finland/ Finpro /Tekes, CWC (Center for Wireless Communication), SPECIM Ltd, and TactoTeK Ltd
In addition to the site visits, participants took part in lectures, discussions, and workshops. The aim was to learn about the value creation process through technology transfer in Finland and, specifically, in Oulu region. This process is based on the cooperation and coordination of universities and other educational institutions, research organizations, support and funding organizations, incubators, start-up villages, key industrial actors and business clusters.
The goal of the “GEM Study Visit” program was to discover local ecosystems, understand their contribution to the processes of value creation and technology transfer, and identify key characteristics of their interaction within the ecosystem.
The visitors were impressed by the high level of knowhow, the advanced level of cooperation, and the achievements and results obtained.
